What skills you need A friendly telephone manner. Able to use Excel to update care home information. Able to use email to confirm uplifts with care homes (optional). Where you can be located You can work from home anywhere in the UK. How much time you need Hours are flexible - any day Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 12:30pm and 2pm to 4:30pm.What you will do You will collect unneeded mobility and disability aids from care homes. What skills you need Able to drive a large van for a full day or assist someone else who is driving, with a clean driving licence and equipment handling skills. Punctuality. Good interpersonal skills. Where you can be located You will drop off collected items to one of our storage hubs (currently Glasgow, Bradford, Leicester, Birmingham or East London). You can also collect and store equipment locally to assist with our uplifts. How much time you need Uplift dates are set around the turn of each calendar quarter; Dec/Jan, March/April, July/Aug and Sept/Oct. The actual uplift day can be arranged to suit your availability and on a weekday or weekend.What you will do You will be part of a team who load a 40-foot Mobility Aid shipping container. What experience you need Equipment handling skills. Able to work in a team. Able to follow instructions and contribute if you have better ideas. Where you can be located Near one of the main storage points (currently Glasgow, Bradford, Leicester, Birmingham and East London). How much time you need Two hours preparing and three hours loading a container. There is no set date, but it could be every three months when there is enough mobility equipment to fill a container.What you will do You will act as a charity ambassador, promote and organise local equipment drop-offs, respond to requests to collect and store a handful of aids for a few weeks until the quarterly uplift. What skills you need Ability to drive and access to a car/van. Local area knowledge or ability to navigate in new areas. Equipment handling skills Good marketing skills. Where you can be located You can stay within your own vicinity anywhere in the UK. How much time you need Throughout the year, usually to suit your own timings. The number of request are not likely to exceed one or two items per month.What you will do You will assist with the week-to-week administration of the charity. What skills you need Basic telephone and computer skills. Where you can be located You can work from home anywhere in the UK and/or near any of the main storage locations (currently Glasgow, Bradford, Leicester, Birmingham and East London). How much time you need Hours are flexible - any day of the week.What you will do Promote, encourage and generate donations on behalf of the charity. Brainstorm and execute ideas such as bake sales, charity challenges, quiz nights and family fun days. Arrange and manage bucket collections at local shops and other locations. Build relationships with local places of worship in order to collect funds, particularly around key religious dates in the calendar. What skills you need None, although enthusiasm is a bonus.
